Children & Preschool

After the Children's Message, kids head to Luke's Learners for a Bible lesson and songs, rejoining for Communion. Our Great Achievers Preschool serves ages 8 weeks through Pre-K, 7am-6pm weekdays.

Youth

Middle and high school youth meet twice a month after worship for fellowship, study, and service. Confirmation runs in 7th and 8th grade, and the ELCA hosts a national Youth Gathering every three years.

Year-round activities for the whole family: the Cinco de Mayo potluck and Back to School Bash, the Christmas pageant, the Easter egg hunt, and more.

Adults

The Adult Bible Class meets Sundays at 11:15am for study and discussion, and the Social Seniors plan fun outings for fellowship beyond Sunday morning.

Seniors

Senior Citizens

Social Seniors (55+) gather monthly for plays, museums, and lunches. We also connect seniors to trusted home-repair help through First Richardson Helpers and Plain-O Helpers.

Music

Music Ministry

Led by Dale Dietert, our music brings together the choir, SMU student choristers, and added musicians for festival services, all on the historic Schudi pipe organ.

Prayer

Spiritual Practices

Ways to make ourselves available to God: the Active Prayer, Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, Welcoming Prayer, the Finger Labyrinth, and the Blessing of the Pets. An outdoor labyrinth sits in the garden by Belt Line Rd.

Women

Women of St. Luke's

Affiliated with Women of the ELCA. Activity Day (first Thursday) assembles quilts and kits for Lutheran World Relief; Women's Circles meet for monthly Bible study; and the Holy Readers Book Club gathers by Zoom.

Men

Men of St. Luke's

The Men's Breakfast meets the last Saturday of the month for great food, conversation, and the occasional guest speaker. St. Luke's also proudly hosts VFW Post #3530.

Support

Parent to Parent

A support group for parents of children of any age who struggle with mental health. Meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:00pm, led by Scott and Katie.

God's hands in the world.

We serve as God's hands in Richardson and beyond. There are always concrete ways to help feed neighbors, welcome strangers, and work for justice.

Hunger

Hunger Helpers

All the change in the offering plate is collected to make sack lunches, supplemented with socks, toothbrushes, and other necessities.

Breakfast

Free Community Breakfast

Good food. Warm welcome. No strings attached. First and third Saturdays, 8-10am, on the St. Luke's Dr. side. Free, because no one should go hungry.

Christmas

Holiday Giving Tree

We adopt families from the Preschool and donate toys to the Network of Community Ministries each Christmas.

Justice

Justice & Advocacy

A team meets monthly, drawing on ELCA Advocacy resources and Faith in Texas to work for our neighbors.

We serve alongside trusted partners here in Richardson and around the world.

Network of Community Ministries

A group of churches supporting those in need in Richardson, with a food pantry, clothing closet, job counseling, and emergency rent assistance. We give and volunteer monthly.
