Radical Hospitality

Radical Hospitality

St. Luke’s Statement of Welcome
You are joyously welcomed into full and equal participation at St. Luke’s, regardless of ethnic origin, racial designations, social class, economic condition, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, age, mental health, criminal record, or religious background. Following Jesus’ command to love one another as he loves us, we invite all people to join this community, as together we seek to fulfill God’s vision of service, justice,
racial equity, and full inclusion in the kingdom of God.

St. Luke’s has been working on becoming even more welcoming and inclusive for the past several years. We are proud to be an official member of the Reconciling in Christ network of LGBTQIA+ welcoming congregations. In the fall of 2018, we hosted a training for congregations seeking to become open to the whole rainbow of God’s people. Pr. Linda was officiating at gay and lesbian unions in the 90’s when it was illegal and still against church policy. We are proud to have a pastor who has been a long-time advocate for full-inclusion. We know you will feel accepted and loved by her as much as we do.
