St. Luke's Lutheran Church is a place where all are welcome, regardless of where you've
come from or where you are in your life's journey. Here in this place we celebrate the richness and diversity of all God's people. Our worship is richly traditional, honoring the words and the meal that have always united us throughout time. Our words are today's words. We hear how God is speaking to us in our present reality, and how God calls us to be in the world today.
All are welcome as members of the Body of Christ, as workers in the kingdom of God, and at the table of our Lord. We would love to have you join us in our ministry and make St. Luke's your church home!
We invite you to join us for worship this Sunday at 10 a.m.
Congratulations to the Shooting Stars Special Olymics team for being chosen to play in the world games this weekend. They are the only USA team chosen. We wish them luck in the games.
The Shooting Stars Basketball Team of the Richardson Roadrunners Delegation of Special Olympics Texas is off to Los Angeles as the USA Women’s Basketball Team for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games! They are the only women’s basketball team chosen to play for the USA in the games, July 25 – August 2. They are pictured standing under the basket at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, their home practice gym, on their last practice before leaving for the games. St. Luke’s Lutheran Church has generously provided gym space for the team as a part of their outreach program for many years making it possible for the team to practice and fulfill a seventeen year dream of competing in a National or World Games event. The Opening Ceremony will be televised on ESPN on Saturday evening July 25, as well as many of the games throughout the competition week.
